Qualification for Up Front Runners
About the new Time Standards
The Tulsa Run has established new standards to offer equal access to our most competitive applicants across all age categories to earn the privilege to start the race in the front corral.
A limited number of time-qualifier spots will be available to runners who meet the time standards from a 2017 USATF sanctioned event on a certified course. Results must be verifiable online and all times run must be at least as fast as the posted time. Net (chip) time, not gun time, will be evaluated.
There will be 150 spots reserved for runners participating in our four upfront qualifying races listed below. We will also have 50 spots open for runners that are from out of town that meet the required upfront finish time from another run. Results must be from a run that took place in 2017.
There will be a private link that will be sent to runners that meet the qualifying time to get them access into the upfront start corral. Upfront runners will be identified with a special bib color. If a runner obtains their qualifying time after they have registered please contact the Tulsa Run office at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can transfer you into the upfront corral grouping.
Up front runner will have a special line at the expo for packet pickup. We will also send out an email the week of the event to runners that are in the upfront group with special instructions on for race day.
